Welcome to the New Perth Bunbury Highway project website – the information centre for Western Australia’s largest road infrastructure development.
The route, now known as the Kwinana Freeway extension and Forrest Highway, was opened to traffic on the 20 September 2009, some three months ahead of schedule.
Take a tour through the website and learn more about the design and construction of the road, as well as the many community and environmental initiatives undertaken as part of the project. You can even browse the vast image gallery and see how the project was constructed.
